Haydee Correa
Haydee Correa is a trial attorney experienced in legal matters involving criminal defense in both state and federal forums, personal injury, medical/nursing home malpractice, family law and real estate. Her practice also focuses on labor/employment and immigration law.
Meticulous in preparation and passionate when she embraces a cause, Ms. Correa always aims for the best possible resolution for her clients. With more than a decade of experience, she litigates actions from the inception of the law suit through appeal, if necessary. The daughter of first-generation Puerto Rican parents, she is particularly drawn to persons in her community that may not have a voice but have been seriously injured or have suffered grave injustices.
Early in her career, Ms. Correa served the people of Bronx County for seven years as an Assistant District Attorney where she successfully prosecuted a myriad of violent felony cases, including a Capital Murder trial. She also worked for the New York City Transit Authority where she obtained numerous defense verdicts in cases of multi-million dollar exposure. Most recently, her practice included the representation of healthcare practitioners and major medical centers in medical liability litigation pending in both state and federal courts. She is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey in addition to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Correa earned her law degree from Fordham University School of Law after graduating Magna Cum Laude from New York Institute of Technology. While at Fordham, she served as Symposium Editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Review and as President of the Latin American Law Students Association.
She is fluent in Spanish.
