Paul R. Cordella is an associate and trial attorney at DeSimone, Aviles, Shorter & Oxamendi, LLP. He aggressively represents the firm's clients in all aspects of personal injury litigation. Mr. Cordella's areas of expertise include construction accidents, municipal liability, premises liability, trucking and vehicular accidents, wrongful death claims, and product liability.
In addition to his work in the courtroom, Mr. Cordella is also responsible for conducting and defending depositions, motion practice, discovery, and legal writing and research. He has been successful in obtaining significant settlements and jury verdicts for his clients. His appellate practice has resulted in several published decisions.

Prior to joining DeSimone, Aviles, Shorter & Oxamendi, LLP, Mr. Cordella was an associate at one of the largest and well respected personal injury firms in New York, where he represented clients who were seriously injured or lost loved ones due to negligence and defective products. While there, he contributed his expertise to a number of complex and high profile cases.
He has also previously represented private corporations and business interests including a nationwide trucking company and a major cable television provider in a variety of tort claims.
In addition to his experience in personal injury litigation, Mr. Cordella maintains an interest in First Amendment, entertainment, and media law issues.
He is admitted to practice law in New York State and the U.S. District Court- Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Mr. Cordella received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2000, where he was Managing Editor of Media Law & Policy. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Journalism from Hofstra University in 1997.
