Gregory P. Cimimo II

Gregory P. Cimino serves as counsel to DeSimone, Aviles, Shorter & Oxamendi, LLP. Mr. Cimino is a transactional attorney specializing in sports and entertainment law, corporate law and commercial transactions. He has represented highly successful businesses, professional athletes, actors and musicians.

A number of successful recording artists count on Mr. Cimino for legal counsel when negotiating important contracts. He advises them on CD deals, DVD agreements, employment contracts, touring arrangements, licensing and broadcast agreements.

Also in the field of entertainment law, Mr. Cimino provided sole representation for the organization and maintenance of a production company established to produce a full-length feature film. He drafted and negotiated talent agreements for the company and advised it on all labor issues.

Mr. Cimino is a certified contract advisor for the NFL.

As general counsel to a high-end health company, he negotiates and drafts all medical contracts. In addition, he played a key role in the company’s expansion into a new market, negotiating the acquisition of real estate, addressing financing issues and creating a business model.

Mr. Cimino also provides counsel to a hedge fund on various legal issues, including contract negotiations.

His previous experience includes the organization and establishment of an executive-level finance search firm, in the role of general counsel. He negotiated and drafted contracts with prospective clients, advised the company on all legal issues, and negotiated settlement deals with investment banks.

Mr. Cimino is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Justinian Law Society and the Supreme Court Society.

He is admitted to practice law in New York State, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

He received his J.D. from The American University Washington College of Law in
1995. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Politicial Science from Manhattanville College in 1992.
