Benjamin Shatzky is an associate at DeSimone, Aviles, Shorter & Oxamendi, LLP, making court appearances, arguing motions, taking

With a focus on medical malpractice, Mr. Shatzky has litigated cases

At his previous law firm, Mr. Shatzky was involved in litigation matters
with clients including medical doctors, dentists, building owners and
employees, management company representatives, and medical/hospital
administrators. He has managed cases on behalf of such clients as the
Hospital for Special Surgery, Lenox Hill Hospital, Annie Sez/Mandees,
Safeco Insurance Co., St. Paul/Travelers Insurance Co., Physicians'
Reciprocal Insurers, Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Co., Frontier
Insurance Co., The New York State Insurance Fund, the New York City
Transit Authority and the New York State Department of Insurance.
In the past decade, Mr. Shatzky has achieved significant verdicts for
his clients. A number of his successful decisions involving personal
injury and medical malpractice have been published by nationally
recognized legal reporting services.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Shatzky worked as a staff attorney for the
Greater New York Insurance Company, a liability insurance carrier, where
he litigated all phases of matters in New York State Court.
Mr. Shatzky is admitted to practice law in New York State.
Mr. Shatzky received his J.D. from the New York Law School, class of
1998, where he was articles editor of the New York Law School Journal of
International and Comparative Law. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in
Political Science from Brandeis University in 1995.
